Privacy Policy
Effective from 23 October 2026
This policy explains how I process the personal data provided on the vasviktor.com website (including the redirecting vasviktor.hu address), in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and on Freedom of Information.
1. Data controller
- Name: Vas Viktor e.v. (sole proprietorship)
- Registered address: Palotai út 53. 10/39., 8000 Székesfehérvár, Hungary
- Tax number: 90850732-1-27
- E-mail: info@vasviktor.com
2. Data processed and purpose of processing
Contact form: the name, e-mail address and message content you provide. I use this data solely to respond to your inquiry and to contact you in connection with it.
Abuse prevention: when a message is sent, the server stores your IP address in a one-way encrypted (hashed) form for a maximum of 1 hour to filter out mass automated submissions (spam). The IP address cannot be recovered from this value.
Server log files: when the website is opened, the hosting provider's server logs technical data, as web servers normally do (IP address, time of visit, requested page, browser type). These logs are processed by the hosting provider for operational security and attack prevention under its own data processing rules; I do not use them to identify visitors or to create profiles.
3. Legal basis for processing
- Contact form: your voluntary consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the checkbox before sending the form. If the inquiry leads to an engagement, further processing is based on the performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Abuse prevention and server logs: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) – the secure and uninterrupted operation of the website and the form.
4. Retention period
I keep the data of an inquiry until the inquiry is closed, but for no longer than 1 year. If the inquiry results in a contract, the data is kept for the period required by law (for example, accounting records for 8 years under Hungarian Act C of 2000 on Accounting). You may withdraw your consent at any time, in which case your data will be deleted without delay. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
5. Who has access to the data?
- Hosting provider (processor): Websupport Magyarország Kft. (Magyar Hosting), Fehérvári út 97–99., 1119 Budapest, Hungary, info@mhosting.hu – the website and message delivery run on its servers.
- E-mail provider (processor): messages sent via the form are received in Google's Gmail service (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
Apart from these, the data is not shared with third parties and is not used for marketing purposes.
6. Cookies and third-party services
This website does not use cookies and does not run any analytics, advertising or other tracking code. All content (stylesheets, icons, images, scripts) is loaded from its own server, not from third-party providers.
When you click “Got it” on the cookie notice, the site stores a single entry in your browser's local storage (vv-cookie-notice) so that the notice is not shown on every page load. This entry contains no personal data, is never sent to the server, and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings.
The link to the LinkedIn profile only transmits data to LinkedIn if you click it; LinkedIn's own privacy policy applies from that point on.
7. Your rights
You may at any time request access to your personal data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing and data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interest; or withdraw your consent. Please send your request to info@vasviktor.com; I will respond within one month at the latest.
8. Legal remedies
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH):
- Address: Falk Miksa utca 9–11., 1055 Budapest, Hungary
- Postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9.
- E-mail: ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu
- Website: naih.hu
You may also bring the matter before the competent court of your place of residence or stay, or lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your EU member state of residence.
